Micro-Exfoliation 101

All you need to know about our microdermabrasion cream

Radiant… glowing… clear… Three words we all wish to describe our skin. If you are already cleansing properly, treating daily, hydrating without fail and moisturising to dewy perfection, but you still feel like your skin isn’t embodying these words, then we think you are missing a crucial step that could change everything - exfoliating.

Making exfoliation a part of your routine lies among the best ways to improve your skin’s texture and tone. Many treatments such as micro-dermabrasion and laser therapy boast to do the same, but they come with a high price tag. Exfoliation is something you can do in the comfort of your own home with our microdermabrasion cream - Infiniti Facial Scrub with AHA’s

What is Micro-Exfoliation with AHA’s?

Micro-exfoliation uses the power of diatomaceous earth microbeads to provide you with an even exfoliation. Using microbeads minimises microscopic tears to delicate skin. This process is known as physical exfoliation. Also, these microbeads are biodegradable and earth-friendly.

AHA’s or Alpha Hydroxy Acids are used to chemically exfoliate. AHA’s enzymes are used to loosen the glue-like substance that holds dead skin cells together so they are easily removed. They help speed up the skin’s natural shedding process, promote blood flow to the surface of the skin and cell-turnover.

The Infiniti Facial Scrub is a combination of physical and chemical exfoliation for the ultimate unveiling of skin clarity with every use.

Why Should You Use a Micro-Exfoliant?

Our skin is constantly shedding cells and creating new ones. This leads to layers of dead skin build up. Exfoliation rids your skin of leftover dead skin cells and reveals younger skin. By removing the top layer of dead cells, you are making it easier for your products to sink deep below the surface of the skin. This is where they make the real difference.

How to Use a Micro-Exfoliant:

  1. Wash your face with a Grace cleanser

  2. Apply a small amount of Infiniti Facial Scrub with fingertips to a wet face

  3. Gently massage the product in circular motions

  4. Rinse your skin with warm water and pat dry with a clean face towel

  5. Continue with your regular skin routine

Remember that exfoliating your face should only be done about two to three times a week, as exfoliating too often or too hard may cause micro-tears on your skin’s surface and strip your skin’s protective layer. If you have inflammatory acne, rosacea or hypersensitive skin, ask your dermatologist to determine what exfoliant to use and how often to use it.
